D1 came from Japan, started to come to the US not to long ago iirc about 4-5 years ago they came to the US, not to sure though. But this year they i guess had problems and weren't coming to the US until Dec.

also i like D1 allot better the Formula D.

But there's a thread in the drift forum about f-d bringin people from all over the world several different drfit organizations, and d1 to longbeach for a world championship....I also heard when the news leaked out about d1 cancelling in the states, that they wer e just coming for the world championships, but then I read they're not anymore. sucks, cuz, d1 to me is better.....more jdm yo! Hahaha.

you sure you didn't mistake that for that Redbull cup that's coming in November in Long Beach? Just by reading the invite list, you know that's gonna be a good one.

I meant to say red bull not f-d is bring the world championship together....

However, even the article you posted, said D1 was supposed to just do the championship series and usa vs japan like last year.....

But yes...redbull drifting world champ. Is gonna be freakin sweeeeeeet.

Yeah me and a couple guys from my Team are going. We're actually going to hit up GMR the night before all night and then head to the track and sleep in line until they open. We live in Victorville.

Glendale Mountain Roads.

And for the record dennisplus, that place is a major bust. I don't know if you've been there lately, but cops go there on a regular basis with flat bed tow trucks. It's probably not in your best interest to go there... esp the day before a well known drift event when all cops know that modified cars will be around the vicinity... just an fyi.
