Formula Drift or Formula D has been created to provide the highest level of drifting competition in the U.S. This inaugural season will consist of 4 rounds cumulating the crowning of the first-ever U.S. Champion.

Created by Slipstream Global Marketing, the company that brought D1 Grand Prix USA event. Known for setting the precedent and progressive ideas, Slipstream with the partnership of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) will create a competition rulebook, first of its kind in the World.

We invite you to come out and take part in watching motorsports history at the Reliant Center in Houston, Texas. There is also a car show portion at this event which include all makes and models of vehicles including Best JDM, Best Mazda, Best Car Crew etc... Did you find a new announcer for this one? With the exception of him and the constant crappy music over the PA, round 1 was a great event.

Round 1 was soooooooooooooo badass. I really was not into drifting until I went to it, but damn did I change my mind. Watching 4 people drift side by side (the 3 judges and that other dude, in the miata) was sick!!! I'm so hooked. I may come out to TX for round 2.....I just can't get enough of it.

That was one HELL of a show!!! By far the MOST entertaining auto-sport I've EVER been to. The entertainment of professional drifting blows away everything else!

Out of curiosity whos in it? And who are the judges? Oh and just wondering is Top Secret there? I know a girl that worked for them at D1 and if they are there then maybe I can get hooked up somehow.

Top Secret wasn't there.... the 3 judges were all from Japan. The only name I remember is Tarzan something. He was cool as hell. I'm not sure that the other one's spoke any English, because when they had they mic's on them, they were discussing some runs completely in japanese.....the crowd was lost LOL.
