wat up i seen a guy do a coil paks on a ka et but i dont know wat crankangle sensor they used or wat coil paks they use i think it was GM parts but if any of you guys know wat parts to use please let me know i think i wanna do coil paks or wat you guys think

what is the advantage????? really , if its worth all of the trouble and money to make a whole ignition control system go for it. this honestly sounds like a ricer question haha.

not a ka t but here is picture of my sohc using coil pack. dual coil wasted spark, with crank pulley mounted toothed trigger wheel.



Its a modified ford escort system.

Bleh, nothing is wrong with the KA's ignition system. If you are getting spark blow-out then get a MSD.

The setup works excellent. Flawless operation.

Wasted spark distributorless has many advantages over the oem distributor type. Its charging two coils to do the work instead of one for all 4 cylinders, it is extremely accurate when used with a direct crank trigger. Distributors or cas systems that are gear driven shaft off the crank, or are cam gear driven drag power and are not as accurate (although they work just fine for most applications). The ford edis (mines from escort) is as good as any aftermarket wasted spark coil pack system.

I put this on my engine because i needed ignition that i could tune in real time with rpm/map signal, via standalone.

People can bash because its from motorcraft, who cares? Its better.

its rice if thiers no improvement from wasting all the money, if it really is better then its cool.
