Ok, the fork pivot ball is not present on the fork, I am able to drive the car until it gets hot, when hot clutch it will not "disengage" or "engage" (not sure, guru's answer this), but if I sit the car for about 20 mins to cool off I am able to drive it for a while, otherwise I only get high RPM's and no go. do I have to take off the whole transmission in order to replace the pivot ball joint on the fork? Is it necessary for that ball joint? Guru's please help/explain.

the pivot ball is in the bell housing screwed into the transmission. the fork has a small cup on it that it pivots on. if the ball is broken off, then that would be the first thing to fix.
