Have the crank checked and polished if needed, shot peen the rods (or just buy some forged rods), try to find ARP hardware (head and main studs). If you do find and use ARP main studs, I suggest an align hone to make sure the mains are straight. Have the block bored per piston (exact tolerances to your piston specs) and torque plate honed if possible. Forged pistons contract and expand a bit more than cast pistons and the torque plate ensures a better seal. Custom forged pistons tend to fit better than mass produced ones.
