Piston slap is due to poor clearances and poor aluminum. Piston slap is caused due to aluminum expanding. Higher grades of aluminum alloys are resistant to such expansions such as 2618 alloy. It is also stronger. As for the clearances, the manufacturer is all about that. If you get a cheap piston, dont expect it to be perfect or even made out of "tha good stuff".
