a few of my friends have forge iron pistons for their domestics...they say that forge aluminum will cause too much piston slap...is this true?

Piston slap is due to poor clearances and poor aluminum. Piston slap is caused due to aluminum expanding. Higher grades of aluminum alloys are resistant to such expansions such as 2618 alloy. It is also stronger. As for the clearances, the manufacturer is all about that. If you get a cheap piston, dont expect it to be perfect or even made out of "tha good stuff".

Several US companies have the Forged piston for the 25/26 done or in work. They will not show up in catlogs as numbers are low but if you call they can tell you what they have...

SR has 86mm bore, maybe they would fit. RB26 has shorter pistons, longer stroke, RB25 has taller pistons shorter stroke--those are the only problems to knowing if they fit or not.

What about forged pistons for the RB20? Is there a company out there that has them?
