The reason I ask is I'm looking at both and forged wheels are roughly twice as much as the average cast wheel. I get that they are stronger, and just overall better, but you know? saving a few hundred $$ is kinda nice.... even if that money all ends up going into the car anyway thoughts?

Forged aluminum is about 300% lighter than cast aluminum. Chew on that for a while

If you can afford them, forged. The process results in a high yield strength but also leaves the material harder. The down side is you may not bend the rim but crack it. It will take a higher load to do so of course. Just pointing out the other benefits besides that they're lighter (less material needed for strength).

I get the technical benefits of forged wheels... I just don't know if I can justify spending the $$$ for it... $2k+ just for wheels? I mean, it's not like I'm going to be racing* or anything... which way would you guys go?

It seems to me that you have already made up your mind, or not really want to spend the money on the forged wheels. I am biased, I like forged wheels.I rather do fewer mods but with very high quality components, than a lot of mods with so-so quality components. But that is just me.

At the end of the day, it is your money, what ever flows your boat.
