Since my last post of my misfortune with rod #2, I never really liked that rod for some reason, the following is a brief from the forged internal twin turbo world...

Block...at the machine shop awaiting maching of cylinders and balancing

Rods...Pauter rods should be arriving any day now

Pistons...Avoided a three week delay be being lucky enough to find some

Arias pistons at the manufacture's shelf

ARP studs...Main and Head studs should be arriving any day now

Oil Pump....Oem oil pump expected tomorrow

Gasket kit...Expected tomorrow

ATS twin plate carbon clutch finally ordered...you gotta see this one...http://www.a-t-s-usa.com/ats-p...shtml

All is on schedule and hope to have my Z back on the road by mid January.

Here is one of my favorite pics of my future Pauter rod next the OEM. Can you guess which one is OEM? (These aren't my rods, expecting them any day now from MRC Motorsports. Pic courtesy of Sharif)

I love your sig!

I figure:New 350Z Coupe approx 30k (i know you have roadster so that was more but I am figuring generalities here)

So New Z: 30k Plus 18K =48k.

So any of us can get to Supercar performance with a total price of 48k.Much less than the price of a typical Supercar.

My roadster was 38k and the power mods will be about 18k, so thats 56k. Right around the price of a new c6, but my Z will be putting down 550rwhp. The C6 has 400hp at the crank, so maybe he will put down 350rwhp. So, for the same price I will have 200 more horses than he does. Just my logic and of course I realize that he can do power mods too, but then that will put his car into the 60k+ range.

That is a beefy con-rod! Its nearly double the size of the stock one. Good luck with the build.
