Forged Connecting Rods?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I heard this rumor from one of my friends that she thinks that theres forged connecting rods in the ka...I wouldnt know cuz I'm a noob. But if there is then that would save me a few hundred dollars.

yes, they are forged. you can put some power to them before they will go. Just for safety's sake though, you could always have them shotpeened to help strengthen them some.

would they be able to handle bout 300 hp you think after they were shotpeened?

No way.. Stock internals can only hold 200whp....

Thats funny last I've seen ABLE racing built a KA-T with 380whp. Pretty shure IVAN has done it as well. SHOT PEENED can be strong and reliable if the engine is finely tuned.

FYI KA rods are shot peened.
