I’ve been looking into the foxwell scanners, would you mind showing a pic or video of the menu that allows you to change these BCM configurations ?
Foxwell themselves seem to think they aren’t able to but I read in a few places that people are able to change BCM settings.
I can try to get a screengrab off the NT710 next time I hook it up, but Foxwell's own documentation shows supported functions that sound an awful lot like the Consult config options mentioned in this thread.

Their website has a (very kludgy) list of every supported special function by device and make/model:

Rows 9, 10, and 12 above sound like the right settings.

Quick follow-up, I confirmed that the aroma module settings are available with the Foxwell NT710. I did not actually attempt to push a configuration change since I don't have one of these modules, but all the capabilities are clearly here.

Screenshots below from a live interactive connection to my 2011 M37x. The interesting bits are the header across the top (showing what HVAC Special Function is being configured) and the buttons in the bottom right (showing what settings are available to configure for that option).

SCENT DIFFUSER SETTING (WITH / WITHOUT)
Configure whether you have the fragrance module:
Image

AROMA SETTING (NORMAL / STRONG / WEAK)
Configure the strength/level/amount of fragrance to release:
Image

FRAGRANCE SETTING (A / B / A+B)
Configure something about which fragrances are released?
(not quite sure on this one, it popped up a short descriptor before showing this screen but I wasn't able to get a screenshot):

Firstly thanks for checking that. I never found that site before and it wouldn’t even load for a few days but now it did.

Secondly, I had never looked into HVAC before because the settings I was curious about would have been in BCM. Unfortunately according to that site when I select BCM it just says read and clear codes. I’m just curious if you get another chance can you actually see if you have any other special functions under BCM? There are a lot of configurations that can be made with the consult from my understanding

Off Topic but, emm3seven, any chance you can check to see if the NT710 has the capability to troubleshoot the alarm system of the car (like seeing what caused the last alarm or alarm(s)?

Replied in more detail in the other alarm thread: post6863290.html#p6863290
(short answer - I don't think so)

No other special functions under BCM...the menu on the device is actually laid out exactly like the data on their website, and under BCM it just shows read / erase codes as you say.

That said, there's a lot of functions that we might think of as "a BCM thing" that are available, but not in the BCM menu, so it's best to just sift through the options.

OK, so you know what they say about assumptions, right? :chuckle:

I assumed the menus were all the same as on the website because all the top level menus are identical. Turns out that there's a lot of functionality that isn't shown on the site, particularly in the BCM area.

Here's a sampling:

These options appear to follow pretty closely to the CONSULT III options for the BCM listed in the Factory Service Manual (second column of this table):

I dove in to a couple of these special functions and the options seemed to match the CONSULT capabilities pretty closely.

Foxwell is really doing themselves a disservice making it so difficult to find clear information on the capabilities of their devices...I own one, and I'm still learning what it can do each time I hook it up.

Thank you! that's exactly what I was hoping to see, i thought it was so strange that it could access all other modules but the BCM.

Can you go into DOOR LOCK and see if you have work support functions -
for example:
auto lock set - mode 1, mode 2, and so on
horn with keyless lock - on, off
and so on

Yes - I skimmed through them and the special functions in the BCM on the Foxwell seem to map to the Work Support functions in the table above. The Foxwell scanner doesn’t always tell you what Mode1/Mode2/etc. actually means, but you can change the settings.

You can always find that "mode" stuff in the FSM. Check out HAC-91 here. You can find a similar FSM section for every control unit which has any available work support:

Yep that’s where I was looking at all the interesting configurations. There’s a bunch of customizations for all kinds of things. If the foxwell can do that, it’s worth its price considering some dealers charge minimum an hour to do anything with the consult.

Hello everyone. I’ve created a 3D model of this cartridge for printing. Now it’s disassemblable, and you can put any chalk-based air freshener inside.

Anyone able to buy this recently?

I tired buying 27457-1ME1A from amayama but they informed me they're sold out

Tried searching for 27457-1MA1A on ebay and no luck, only found 27457-1ME1A used for over $100 (if I spend over 100 I want either new or left hand drive version)
