Ford V8 swap into R50. thoughts?

Ford 429 with C6 Auto from a Galaxy 500. Outer dimensions are not much different from the overall dimensions of the VG33E and auto trans already in it. Pathy is 2WD so no 4wd issues to deal with. 429 is stock rebuild with minor electrics and bolt on upgrades/power items. nothing crazy. maybe 350 HP but closer to 480 lb/ft. oil pan is custom and no clearance issues.

800cfm Demon carb and Mechanical Autometer gauges, so no electronics integrating issues.

Rear end... idk yet. thoughts? Maybe a custom prop shaft will allow the stock unit to remain. But I would want posi or LSD. Does Nissan make this upgrade that will fit the R50 pumpkin?

Wheels and hubs etc... idk yet. thoughts? I'm thinkin the rear end will dictate this..

Mounts and such... a kit or fabbed? anyone know of any?

Sounds like a neat idea.

but just a heads up, you may not get many responses because I don't think anyone on here has swapped in a different engine.

Theres a guy who turbo'd his engine and beefed up his transmission, but thats about it.

Yeah I've gathered there are a whole lot more "just DD owners" that serious enrhusiasts.
I'm primarily a VDub guy (12 yr dealer tech) but growing up my entire familyhas always owned Nissans. So they are in my blood as well.
All the VW forums are more mods and clubs and track days and events and tuning so thats what I'm used to.
Still, this is the best Nissan forums I've come across. So maybe my pencgant to tinker and mod will spark some others to rise up as well.
