Okay so i get home from school and i notice my step bro's old gay probe isn't sitting out front like has been for th last month or so. so i come to find some kid came and offered him $100 and he countered with $250 (it still ran and everything). so i guess he got the 250 and it was gone. 5 minutes later the kid walks back and the "transmission fell out" haven't seen it yet but kid asks for his money back and my step bro understood i guess and gave it back. so my lesson to you is fords are crap you think you sold it then the transmission dies ahhahah stupid fords!!!!!

ford's aren't total crap. i bet that probe probably had a pretty harsh life and wasn't taken well care of. Also, look at how many crappy 240's are on the road (or stuck on the side of it). A car can be only as good as you take care of it.

Probe isn't even a ford. It's a Mazda mx6 with a diffferent body. So blame mazda. I'll assume it was an automatic as well.

Ford auto's suck, manuals are usually better being that they're contracted out, except mine, it's a damn Mazda, very notchy and has weak synchros, still better than the AOD though:D

stangs have T-5's and T56's now.

I find a lot more crappy GM though it seems

if i remember correctly, ford farmed out a slushbox for the F-150 in the mid 90's from nissan. i need to get under my dad's truck and see if nissan is stamped anywhere on the transmission housing

haha, reminds me of attempting auto x in the T-Bird, it dumped oil all over the place (Fram filters suck, it had a bad gasket:angry)

now all the front bushings are really shot...oh well it's old
