Hey now, the Bronco II wasn't the best off road vehicle in the world, but they are decently capable.

My pop bought the first one off the lot at the local Ford dealer when they came out, and after about a year, 4" lift, a set of custom headers, full single 3" exhaust, and a set of 36" Swampers, there wasn't much that thing wouldn't do.

That was actually the first vehicle I learned to drive a manual in when I was 10 years old.

He only got rid of it after he found a 1/2 ton he wanted. Then that got worked over too. Damn, I miss the days goin wheelin with pop out in the sticks before all those environmentalists when nuts over that s***.

10' rooties in the air, the stock paint recoated in deep dark cake mix with only the winshield wipers to remove the vision impairments.

they were kinda top heavy and ugly...

the first gen Ranger 4x4 wasn't bad either...just needed more power then that damn 2.3...

that's why they made a few limited turbo trucks...I'd wager for homogolation for racing.

What happened to the Concept Bronco that looked like the ones from the 60's. I had a '66 Bronco and it would hill climb like a bi***. I saw the concept one that looked like it at the Chicago Auto Show and it was sweet. But one the size of an Aveo? WTF?
