i wanted to know if anybody can answer some of my questions about putting a ford c4 automatic transmission to ka24de (planning to turbo). p.s i got a 97 240sx. I want to know its as easy as just replacing the transmission or is there anything i wude have to custom make. plus what do i need and where can i get them preferably not to expensive. also if i can bolt on the c4 transmission with the stock ka24de until i put in a turbo kit.im trying to gather up information so when im ready to do it ill do it right.

I suppose you are going to do drag then?

Kind of pointless in a 240, IMO.

i want it to be my daily driver but when i take it to the track itll be good to. im not planning to put a crazy stall converter neather a launch brake. i just want to have a strong transmission that could hold a good amount of power.i dont want stick shift imnot planning to drift and im in traffic alot is a nother reason plus with the automatic theres no delay in shifting that the manual trasmission has when shifting. ive already thought this through so i just want to know what i want need to know .thank you

This will allow you to bolt a Ford C4 transmission to your Automatic KA bell housing. This is the hardest part of this project! All of the other pieces can be fabricated relatively easy.

Most KA-Ts I've seen or read about have had the stock M/T trans.... And they're a dime a dozen too! Re-think staying automatic, there is a lot of fun lost in the auto trans.

Who uses a c4? Even the ford guys will pull them and replace them with a Turbo 400 or C6..... Anyhow Import DPS in Philly has a KA married to a TH400

TH400 with a roller drum can hold well over 1250 HP with the proper converter and builder..... If you want to drag you should use a powerglide

C4.... tiny, not that strong, C6 is a better choice, but if you want a 3 speed auto or manual valvebody TH, pure drag car you need a glide.
