Just wondering if this has been done yet? I have a buddy selling an '89 straight-back for $1G.

I know Aries has an LT1, but has the 302 been test fitted in a 240SX yet? This would make a cool swap.

I dont like Ford that much but im sure it could be done... if it fits in a Miata then it'll fit in a 240.

I was hanging out at Holley the other day watching a buddy of mine dyno his AWD Talon and was talking with the guy I know that works there. I was asking about the 302 because I think it sounds better and has just as big an aftermarket as any motor.

He said that he was pretty sure that it was a little narrower than the LT1....I wouldn't mind doing it either, but I want to finish up my KA-T first.

It has a HUGE aftermarket. Lots of parts are dirt cheap too. I like the 5.0 because of the available 5-spds and because it's incredibly light. A friend of mine weight his 302 with (including heads, trickflow lower + upper intake, TB, aluminum valve covers) and it all weighed 410 lbs. A Q45 V* engine by comparison, all-aluminum, weighs 530 lbs. If anything, this swap improves handling.

ive got a 5.0 in my car but then again i drive a mustang.

not a bad motor to run. huge aftermarket an dirt cheap parts as well. can be made very fast for very little money.

my car looks stock under the hood except for the short belt and it should run 13.30's@105-107 in the spring, and the motor is stock from throttle body to oil pan. not even the valve covers have been off. the car weighs 2945 which is pretty close to the 240.

hell, i even have an extra 5.0 and AOD if ya want it :D
