It may not be your version of right, but it is correct in how it functions with respect to this vehicle
The hack grounds out the "vehicle in motion" sensor. The sensor works in conjunction with the GPS to tell vehicle position. When the vehicle is not in motion, you have access to NAV functions. So with this hack, the GPS thinks the vehicle is not moving and never updates status. Well, it does....but extremely slow. Mine will catch up if I sit for a long time.
Its not really that big a deal, flip the switch, put in your destination, then flip it back. Now I can see where it's a pain being next to your dvd because you constantly have to open the armrest. This was prime reason I did not locate my switch in there.
