So Nala, how many more negative reviews will it take for you to admit you were wrong?

Get a program that lets you dabble with instruments and sequencing rather than just cutting and pasting.

Go ahead and add me to the list of ***holes, because this was quite painful to listen to.
No flow (the tracks don't blend well with each other), mixing is hap-hazard and disjointed.

My favorite part is at 3 mins 21 secs.

OMG you call that a mix?

I DJ'ed with a friend for 2 years for some extra cash in high school and you aren't gonna get far with crap like that. Buy some equipment, some good software, and try again. Call me an a**hole too, but if people pay you money to play that crap, they are either deaf or VERY wasted.

Ah man Nala. You just made yourself look bad with that one.

So what you need to do is listen to a real mix and you'll see how they're supposed to be done.

Or you know you can try making your own beats like I do.

I mean I don't wanna bag on the kid too hard I don't want him to get discouraged and quit mixing all together. Picking up turntables literally completely changed my life.

Nala just needs to sit there and practice for months and months and not post anything until he's noticed the mix he just posted was s***. It sounded like he put the BPM to 140 and jammed as much as he could together haha.

Thanks Pez. I am getting good at fluidity. The intro is like 4 songs for the first 3 minutes.

<------- Best evil character

It just sounded like a bunch of songs put together randomly. The intro was too choppy and nothing meshed. There were some facepalms in there too. I think Id rather listen to Friday on repeat.
....Not even close

I personally don't like electro or trance but I do like instrumentals. Kornmanz Ill give you props for originality and creating your own sound with some great headbobbin parts. I really actually liked that you posted, along w some of your past stuff. I could get down with that if I was in the mood and the right setting.

^ Word man thanks.

I have noticed that the right mood and right setting is generally after a few beers and shots for most people lmao.

Let me tell ya. When my friends and I spun at a bar last weekend when we first started people told us to keep the volume down (We had over 10,000 watts of sound) and they all looked at us like wtf. Then they got sauced and more and more ppl kept showing up and ordering drinks. Next thing you know we have a dancefloor in front of us with the sound peaking and the floors shaking.

Alcohol is great for setting the techno mood haha.

Yes, this too... My god that was bad,

Typically, the DJ is supposed to keep thing on beat so that anyone dancing or even just bobbing there head can follow it.
Little bit trickier, but also good to keep things in the same key, so the songs sound like they belong together more then just having a similar melody.

Some how you managed to think it was a good idea to pull a 180, and not only f*** up the rythem, but throw the pitch all over the place too...

Even wedding DJs follow a clear thematic path. They don't just go from WHOOMP THERE IT IS to Lady In Red without some transition.

Yup, they'll usually throw in some Kenny Loggins or Loverboy in there somewhere.

Or maybe some MC Hammer if they're feelin' a little adventurous.

Favourite villain...?

Oh, Christ. That hurt. I listened to all the places that Kornman pointed out, but I honestly couldn't listen to the thing, man. That sucked hard.

Anthony's mix I have listened all the way through all 1:26:21 at least 5 times, and there's only one point that the transition was janky, and that's 0:9:20. Everything else was relatively smooth, though. I really like Ant's and Kornman's mixes. Yours, not at all. Seriously.

Anyways, back on topic.

Professor Chaos. Best villain ever.

As far as comic book villains Venom has always been my favorite.

Nala, Nala, Nala. You're still looking for shortcuts. Someday you'll learn they do not exist. I hope these overwhelmingly negative responses have shown you that:

1. A career in DJing/mixing may not be for you. It requires game/skill, (which you don't have), a lotta work/practice/effort to refine it (which you haven't done), good equipment, (which you don't have), and an knack for zeroing in what listeners expect/want (which you can't do). The fact you like music does not automatically make you good at mixing it.

2. Perhaps it's time for you to find something else to do that you're good at, well, besides being creepy.

3. When you seek feedback, attacking the first person that disagrees with you will inevitably result in disaster... for you.

4. And walking away from a feedback thread you began without acknowledging the feedback, especially after you realize you were wrong, just makes you look worse.

Oh, and before you deny being creepy or looking for shortcuts, your next date is ready for you... :)

How about LEAST favorite comic book villain.

Image
He looks like he fell out of an episode of He Man and straight into a gay pride convention. And his looks aren't his worst trait. Nope. He's a terrible character with no depth and stupid powers and does nothing very interesting. Because creative villains require effort, but "the good guy, only evil" is easy to do.

Black Adam is probably my favorite comic book villain.
