K...I know your sick of me asking about the stillen body components.

I have to know though....for those who actually got a stillen front lip and put it on....

Did you say to yourself...."Oh yeah!!!" "Pure Sex" "Wooo Hooo".Was it all you hoped for? Did it really change the look of the car for you?

I just cant tell by the pictures what the real effect is. Obviously the fascia is dramatic. The lip is hard to judge from pictures.

Is the LIP worth the $400 it's gunna cost me for the part, paint, and install?

I love mine Completely makes the front end look finished IMO without going overboard like the fascia.

i dont have the lip but am considering getting one + the rockers. i think it looks good. i think stillens fascia makes the car look "modified", not really sporty. i think the lip adds more of a sporty look. Im waiting to see what nismo comes out w b4 i pull the trigger on stillen.

Viper,

It took me a long time to get to the decision myself. In the end, although I like the Fascia also, the lip won out. I personally supscrib to the model that I don't want to change any car so much that people have to ask what it is. (Even though they do now, it's just because there are so few out there and public awareness is low). My exterior mods are focusing on changing the color schemes and "Enhancing" rather than replacing where possible (Kinda hard not to change wheels).

It's totally a personal thing, nothing against anbody who wants to do more.

As for the result, i'll post new pics by next week with the new lip, mustache, burger, and engine cover.

BTW - You should be able to get a lower overall cost for your lip I would think. All of my work will run about $450 including three stage paint and all for the Pearl White QX3 scheme. Many of the other paint schemes don't require quite as much paint. Not sure about the black paint, but it should be less.

Hope this helps,-- Wind

I've been trolling every now and then .... Just haven't had much to say ....

Honestly, I get lost in the forums the way they are organized now.

I've also noticed a rash of the same old questions being asked and frankly haven't felt like repeating myself. Maybe i'm just grumpy....

But, i'm here, if anybody needs me drop me an e-mail or do a forum yell.

stillen fascia doesnt make the car look sporty?? hmm... im guessing you havent seen it person. the stillen fascia makes the car look alot more sportier in my opinion. Its really hard to see the real effect based on pics, but if you are used to seeing the stock, then the stillen FRONT LIP does have a noticeable difference. point being, i like the front lip, looks good in pics and should look even better in person, if you want just a little extra, the lip is the way to go.. Just had to say i disagree bout the fascia not lookin sporty.. only someone who has the fascia can really understand...how many heads turn and jaws that drop..and im not even exaggerating.

So I ordered the Stillen Front Lip and it came today.

It was black Urethane so I test fit it on my black car. It really does changethe look of the front quite a bit. I was pleasantly suprised. Changesthe soft roundness of the front to a more agressive "eat up the road" kindof look.

Subtle, but yeah...definately worth it.

Thanks to all for your comments and help here.

Next project....Stillen Rear deck wing. After it's all done at the body shop,I'll post pics.

I also went with just the Lip Spoiler on the front and I get a ton of compliments on it. Just enough to give it a unique look from stock, but not overkill. although I will be honest and say had Stillen allowed foro me to keep my fog lights with the Stillen front end replacement, I would have gone with that. Its hot, but I want to keep the Fogs.... So, the Lip won out.

I went with the Front Lip + Rockers also, becuase I wanted to keep my stock foglights. I damn sure would have went with the Front Fascia if i didnt have the foglights though.

I am planning on doing the same with my car as yours is. I like how a lot of people's cars look with the other bigger pieces but I'm trying to think about when I sell the car, how well that will go over. I've seen a Scion in my area with very low mileage and almost new (07) with major bodykit panels and its been sitting on this dealer's lot forever. Granted, it is one ugly body kit though. But I think a more stock look will be easier to sell.
