do you put any weight in the back to help keep traction on snow and ice or do you just leave it how it is? I have 280 lbs of sand in my hatch and i think it works miracles for keeping traction on the snow n ice

I drove my old S14 through the second-snowiest winter in Wisconsin history...no sandbags or weight...but I was essentially drifting every turn on my way to school and back every day...whatever floats ur boat

2 sandtubes (100 pounds each) on the back of my stock S14 have helped. No space for more really...

yeah putting weight in the back helps out quite a bit for traction in the snow.

As for ice though...nothing really can help with that. Just careful driving.

Sandbags help a lot, but one year the tube jumped into my wheel well real hard into the pin that holds the wheel in. And since I don't have a wheel in the well, it punctured then I got sand all over my trunk. It's STILL dirty because I guess water accumulated and there's dirty grime everywhere. I don't use sand anymore and I go sliding on turns a lot in the snow. You can't be helped with ice. Only safe driving will do you any good. Hopefully by the time snow comes this year, I'll have my subwoofers in to give me a bit more weight and a new spare tire.

i do sometimes. depends on the mood really. its all fun and what not with no weight, but where i live all the stoplights and **** are conveniently placed on hills for some reason. so on a day to day type of basis i leave the sand in. its one less inconvenience for me to deal with when i need to be somewhere
