You gotta let us know how expensive it is, I'd like to do it but a guy I met at an autox meet said it's expensive.....how are you gonna handle tandem drifts of you hit each other?do you guys drift at the autox meets? I saw a firebird drifting at the pennington field meet on sunday. I couldn't believe I was actually watching that!If you guys start getting serious, and I have my car I'll have to come hang out one weekend.....
Well drifting does get expensive in Japan because they have mountain passes that are so small that if you loose control you could loose the car or even worse yourself. As for the U.S. our roads are considerably bigger/wider. So far the only person to spend anything is Danny in the 300zx because he wore the tires down to the steal belt. But even then it's not expensive because he will put on other crappy tires with little tread when we go out there. What is expensive is a ticket for reckless driving if a cop decides he wants to patrol a street in BFE.
We talked about the tandem drifts and we are only going to start behind each other to learn more about each others drift. Only after we are good enough we will start side by side. <-That probably will take another 6 months or so. As for damage we all pretty much make good money and have a hook up at a body shop so we would all chip in to take care of any damage.
We respect autoX and solo II for what it is and will not drift at their events. That is a very strict rule. Grip driving is great and we also like it.
PM me if you want to come out one weekend.
