I have mine set at the stock timing marks. It idles smooth, but I had to turn the distributor all the way counter clockwise to get it in time. With it retarded this far can the ECU retard it even more when I come in to boost?
Is anyone running them at the stock timing marks as well? A paper came with my JWT cam gears saying it may benefit the motor to spread out the lobes, retarding the intake and advancing the exhaust cam. If I did this would it allow me to get it in time without retarding the distributor all the way?
It idles and revs smooth, but I am having a problem with it running very rich at idle (see my other thread). Now that I have it running I am going to get it up to temperature and check my valve lash again. I am pulling the timing covers this weekend so figured if I need to change the cam timing it would be a good time to do so. What do you guys think?
