Are you saying the stock SOHC piston is forged?

uhh, no. You said race engineering had forged sohc pistons for cheaper than dohc. Im simply alluding to the fact you can put sohc pistons in a dohc and bump your CR up, and since you informed me of cheap pistons (forged) why would you buy the dohc ones? Sorry about the mix up.

OK i just thought, did they change the CR on these pistons?

The SOHC ones are 10.5:1. I don't know how much the SOHC pistons bump the CR in a DOHC, but I don't think these will work in that application. From my understanding the stock CR for the SOHC is 9.0:1, so I think these may not work the way you are thinking. However, the forged DOHC pistons are more for turbo, and the SOHC ones are for N/A appications. I posted this infor on both the turbo KA and the N/A forums, just so everyone can see it since I have seen many people ask where they can get them pretty cheap.

oh ok my bad. Those sohc would make a dohc go way over 12 to one CR. Hey thanx for the info though.
