I found this Japanese site that compares difference between Nissan J. Ferie and Infiniti J30 with a lot of pictures! Check it out!!

I think the J30 looks better in headlamp & grill design, however J. Ferie looks nicer on the tail side!

It looks like my gauge cluster is identical to the Japanese version, possibly because we use kilometers instead of miles? Nissan may have repurposed the JDM J. Ferie gauge for Canada.

does the canadian gauge read to 180 kmh, or does it go higher?

the 180 kmh gauge would be perfect.

When I got home, I checked my gauge, it is exactly the same as the Japanese gauge, except it tops out at 240 km/h and the conversion in miles is in tiny red numbers under the KM numbers.

If I could find my digital camera I would post a pic, unfortunatly I just moved houses this weekend and can't find a thing!

damn, if i want it, im gonna have to get it from japan.

what i was thinking, i would take the 180 speedo, and use a vss corrector to make it read in mph. instant 180 mph speedo [with the odo working correctly].

i would just have to deal with a mph sticker not matching the color of the gauge, or getting a custom gauge face.

although, a 240 mph speedo would look nice also...

Out of interest my original wood trim is of the darker Japanese variety as opposed to the lighter U.S. variety.

Didn't the Japanese version of the J30 come with an aero skirt type part on the front end? I swear I remember seeing them in pictures of the J. Ferie.

Lets face it!! The jap versions of our cars are better. They just give us the left over metal and plastic.

Americans tend to prefer more conservative styling. And our crappy roads and potholes could render a factory skirt useless.
