I was hanging out at the shop, discussing the abyssmal rigidity of the convertible, when we began throwing around ideas on how to stiffen up the rear of the vert. I have the front sorted out pretty well with a strut brace and a front ladder bar, but the rear still felt pretty loose. I had originally picked up a knock-off rear cross bar off of ebay to help out with this, but it's going to require an absurd amount of fabrication to get it even close to working. On top of that, with the new seats in, I don't think it will fit at all.

Anyway, while we were discussing this, I mentioned how cool it would be if something already out there would work. Russ dashed into the shop, emerging with a c-pillar, ebay-special bar for an s13. It bolted right up to the factory seat belt mounts with NO modifications. W00t. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Yummy:

Looks like it was made to fit there:

Tightening that bish up with our tool:

Hopefully this already hasn't been posted. If so, my bad.

I know this is old but where did you get this c-pillar bar? And what difference did you feel?

As for differences, it's a $30-40 c-pillar bar. It's $30-40 worth of difference .
