I want to see the underside of that bad boy.

Props to that guy for the cash and the technology to get it all in there.

anyone agree that the front end kinda looks like an r33 from a distance? very nice to see someone actually do this.

i think the kit is going to be somewhere between $12,000 and $15,000. I think that comes with the motor too.

For all you wonderers out there this swap cost from $12-15K, depending on options you add with the swap. I have talked to a rep at Full Race and all you provide is a rolling chassis and they do the rest. Thats the price for an AWD 240SX RB26 swap!

Anyone wanting a copy of that e-mail, hit me up on myspace(link below)or email me at [email protected]

I have seen 26 trans with over 900hp running through them. So there is always going to be some sort of stipulation with this kind of set-up, maybe they are weaker... I'm not too sure!

so i'm guessing they are using the rb26 ecu, I wonder if I could use the GTS-4 ecu along with the gts-4 transmission with this kit lol. that would be sweet awd rb25.

not exactly. the awd system is independent of the ecu

whoa whoa whoa, i give them 12k PLUS chassis or 12k plus rb26 clip plus chassis ? now i think that a for 12k and they supply the clip is an AMAZING DEAL and i would do that by this summer.... but 12k plus 5k for clip plus 5k for chassis ( i for damn sure wont get ne thing done but a kouki s14) puts me in r32 territory

I looked this car over at SEMA.

Honestly, I don't get it. Before I go any further, MAD PROPS for pulling it off...all that fabrication work, and etc.

But I still don't get it. All the Skyline draggers pull the AWD fuse, or have a "fun box" to throw most/all of the power to the rear. What you have here is a 3,100+ lb. car that is impractical for drag racing and drifting. Not being a hater...not all all! It's just I don't get it...but at least someone can say it's been done now and we can stop fielding stupid n00b questions from current Civic owners asking if an AWD S-chassis is possible.

car is going to be used for time attack next year. so the AWD does have a purpose.

in fact a good buddy of mine will be driving it for full race

hmmm, i'd have to disagree Scott, and definitely to each his own. Not to knock on your beautiful car whatsoever, but hour for hour, dollar for dollar adding performance > show IMO.

I'd say the R14 weighs not much more than yours after all the electronics and stuff added. How do you judge practicality? I think I'd take custom fabbing the awd and keeping LHD over converting to RHD, adding a lot of custom stereo, and chrome/polish. Can't imagine AWD being disadvantageous especially for time attack. What they built was as similar to a GT-R as possible without using the body itself. With the same argument, why don't people just buy GTS-T's and swap RB26s in? The reason the GTR is great is b/c of awd.

I'd be interested in seeing yours do drag/drift duty against it. I guess I just dont see the "practicality" of a show car... more like an apples an oranges comparison.

Like I said man, I wasn't hatin AT ALL. To each his own. The freakin' car rocks, and mad props to the madmen at Full Race.

But I can say emphatically that my car (in the sig. file) would do excellent in any drag, drift, auto-X, or time attack (or hell, the Ultimate Street Car Challenge, which includes a CAR SHOW). Behind all the "custom audio and chrome/polish" is a full drift-spec suspension, from pillow camber arms, front and rear pillow upper links, pillow toe rods, pillow tension rods, subframe crossmember bushings, LCA's and anti-roll bars (the front of which was custom modified to clear the oil pan), front and rear strut braces, front power brace, as well as adjustable tie rods and rod ends, and JIC Magic's best coilovers, the FLT-A2. The entire chassis has been stitch-welded and the car rolls on staggered Volks with plenty of Azenis traction. And on the performance side, I would think my twin HKS GT-RS to be an excellent choice for drift, auto-X, and time attack, much more so (IMHO) than a single BIG turbo (which makes me think big power/big lag drag set-up). Add a little direct port kit to my chromed engine, and some slicks, and that little show car with lots of stereo would be doing mid 9-second passes in the 1/4-mile. As it sits right now, it's done a flat 11-second pass at its current trim. If I *wanted* to mess up my pretty paint and body work, the car could certainly hold it's own...

But then again, why? That's what my 1998 KA-T is for...daily driving, slashing and ragging, and beating 911's and old guys driving Corvettes. The beauty of having two S14's! I took my buddy for a ride today---he owns a new body style Corvette. I scared him with the little 2.4 liter!

Im gunna side with Scott on this, I rather drive a more comfortable car, then a 9 second car on a daily basis. I have owned two cars and went down both paths, my 240sx Looks like crap, but i think it will pull mid 10 secs easily, and i had a civic that looked amazing (some things now would be considered rice though) and was slow as hell. I think the two should be balanced, i mean the FR car as well as Scotts car both acheive that balance, I mean the FR car looks awesome inside and out, and Scotts car is the same, obviously the two companies wanted to acheive differant goals (IE show and speed) but, for my self i rather have something that is a lil slower, but looks nicer and is funner to drive, than a full track car, with no interior, or a awesome show car i would be scared if a bird **** on it. For me its the middle...not the upper or lower ends of the spectrum
