For the After Dark Tuning Guy

I have a couple of questions about that site, After Dark Tuning. It seems interesting, and the prices seem reasonable. I have a few questions, so if you can answer them for me please. Do the engines come complete? ECU, transmission, wiring harness all ignition parts, etc. No parts missing right?

Where are you guys located? I live in Ca. so I would like to know an estimate on shipping prices.

Will the engines be reliable enough for daily driving? I do not want to be calling my dad on my cell phone on the side of the road.

I am looking at the S14 installation package. So I am wondering how much horsepower that engine will end up with all those parts. You know, the exhaust, downpipe, intake, fuel pipe, and all that.

And you say that the limited slip differential is 300 dollars. What lsd is it? Is it the stock 240sx Vicious limited slip differential? Or Kaaz? Or is it a J30 lsd or what?

Well I am sorry for all these questions, but its just that I would like to know. If these questions will be answered when the site is properly out then I will just wait. But I hope these questions are not difficult to answer and I hope you can give me an answer soon.

Im not him but I can answer some questions for you as he is busy.

1. Motors are complete2. Motors are low milage and will be reliable if you take care of it3. LSD is the Nissan 1.5 way R200 LSD which is found in the 240SX, J30t, etc. 4. Look to make about 180-190whp with the fuel pump, downpipe, exhaust, and intake @ 7psi.

Get a front mount intercooler and you will be around 235whp @ 14.7psi (1 bar)

Grab some 550cc injectors, 300Z Fuel Filter, Greddy Intake Plenum, Trust Pulleys, test pipe, and you'll make around 250whp @ 15 psi.

Then you will need turbo upgrade...

The engines are complete. They include the complete engine, manifolds/turbo, complete harness, all sensors, ecu, motor mounts, transmission and stock mount intercooler with all piping. It also includes radiator, AC, and PS when available.

The motors have less than 35k, and yes it is a reliable engine so long as you maintain it as Nismo said.

We are located in Cedar Rapids, IA ( Iowa ) 52402. You are more than welcome to come out here, we'll put you up while we do the swap, it only takes 1-2 days for a fairly stock job. : )

The LSDs are the stock VLSD, either from a CA18, S13 SR20, or S14 SR20 dependant upon your model of car/preference. We can also do S15 Helicals, but they're more money.

As far as the power you make, probably around 205rwhp, it varies engine to engine, we can put your car on the dyno and get ya a slip if you'd like. : )

Wow guys, thanks a lot for the answers. But I was also wondering how much shipping would be. Can you give me an estimated price on how much shipping would be for an LSD, and how much it would be for a complete engine to, lets say, california? Or do you guys even do shipping? I dont know. And also, I was wondering if you guys have brake upgrades for the 240. Like the 300zx TT brakes or something like that.

Don't quote me on this.... but I think shipping is usually around $300 for an engine. Daunttless' shop is pretty much centrally located.... so most locations in the US would be about the same. (unless you live in Maine.... then he ships it to you... drives out and installs it for you too.... for free because he's just that cool!..... I wish)

Well, $300 sounds really good. I didnt expect it to be that low. I expected more. Well, I just have to find out the real price soon if you are not sure. And Ninjak84, my car is stock. All it has is Tokiko blue shocks and sprint springs. Thats all.
