I think this might go in For Sale but I thought it might get more attention here since this is where all the CA guys hang out.

I have some JUN 268/ 10.35 cams that are just too aggressive for my application and I thought I would offer them for $400 obo.

my email is [email protected] or talk to me on aol instant messenger, SN aandrave.

I would also consider a trade for some less aggressive cams.

DAM thjose are some great cams, where were you two months ago when i was looking for a set,

you will need solid lifters for those, but thats a great price, you should also get some adjustable cam gears too, and JUN ones preferably...

if i had the spare cash i would buy them... now if you want to trade for a stock pair and $100 we got a deal...

I'm not really interested in stock CA cams, I'll have a set of those shortly anyway. I just thought if anyone had some aftermarket cams and they were upping their power goals they might want to trade. As it is $400 isn't a bad asking price considering what these things would go for new.

I'm also looking for a CA downpipe, a rear bumper for a hatchback S13, a Z32 mafs, or some other little parts, if anyone has any of that for trade...

Hey,

I am interested in a trade... BUT i need to know if these cams require solid lifters? I have tomei valve springs installed as we speak, and the cams i have are 270 duration but they have an 8.8 lift. They have been installed for about 2000 miles and very streetable. What is the condition of the JUN?

Thanks,Ray

Well everyone, I'm not equipped with the knowledge or experience to answer the solid lifter question, and I don't even know where to find solid lifters if they would require them.Does anyone know more about long duration cams on the ca?

TOMEI has soloid lifters, but i think JUN lifters and valve springs would be in order also cam gears if they dont have already, try and keep all head components from the same manufacturer to ensure everything working properly together. will those components and some retainers if you can afford you'll be revving the hell out of that motor. 8500rpm+ all bay no problem (once you bottom end cant ake it :))

JUN website i think is down, but i know http://www.TAKAKAIRA.com will have then for sale, as well as jspec.com phase2mototrend.com enjunkuracing.com and http://www.raretrick.com can all get them for you.

AEBS sells and distributes TOMEI parts if all else fails.

but be prepared, like all things from JAPAN special order, it will take some time to get here.

Well I can't find JUN parts anywhere since they pulled out of the US. But tomei parts should all work though they are expensive:

Tomei Parts for the CA18DE(T):

Valve springs 10.35 lift(mm) $275.60 Set Solid Valve lifter $339.20 Set Cam Gears $148.40 each

Anyone know of this stuff cheaper?

did you try emailing AEBS about the tomei stuff??? or raretrick about the jun stuff?

i think i ended up paying 250 for the springs, and well the cam gears came with the cam kit. but i think the TOMEI price is 250 for the pair of cam gears..

but remember that those are some pretty radical cams there, which require radical mods to get them to work right. but should give you about 15-20whp and change the operating rpm range considerably. take your time save your moneya nd do it right. if you need stock cams for now lots of folks have, or you can find some in the junk yard.

but if you look on auctions.yahoo.co.jp long enough you'll see all sorts of CA goodies like that around, but i have no idea how to start buying and getting them.. (not that that helps)

good luck

Those are AEBS prices for the Tomei parts right there, and I haven't found a US distributor for JUN parts or I would check.I guess I'll go yahoo raretrick and see what that turns up.

CROWER also makes valve lifters (hydraulic and solid) no idea if they can make for the CA18...

remember that the CA lifters are the same as the VG30DE(TT) so any aftermarket ones for them will work, so Ferrara (or whoever) makes.

this is the email address of the guy from JUN i found this from a request i had made about a year ago.
