well, remember, 20K cnd is like, what less then 13.5K US right now, and it cost us alot more to do anything, an engine swap will easly set us back 7 or 8 grand, thoses teins would end up being close to 2 grand CND, it would probably cost me alot more to get them locally here in winnipeg. 240's are also geting expensive here.
In Winnipeg people are selling(not trying, selling) 91-93 240's with 140-190K(so like, little under 100K miles to 120K miles) for like 7.5 to 9 grand so its easy to see how stuff add's up.
that being said, you still can't expect 20 grand for an 89. that car stock is worth, maybe 5grand CND, even with that kinda money invested people probably arn't going to pay close to what it cost to do it themselfs.... or they will just DO it themselfts.
i'd say drop ATLEAST 5 grand, you might get some more interest, come summer if you still have it, and want to let it go for like 12.5 i might be interested.

if its done well, then ya who cares, if its was done in a shop that i didn't trust, and i was interested in the car, then it is important. if it was painted at macco with a $300 paintjob, IMO thats important, on the other hand, if it was done in a shop i know of and trust, that is a good selling point, if it has a $2000 plus paintjob that can be a good selling point aswell.

ya, but you have to take into account that your not going to sell parts for the same price they cost you new. thoses prices are a little off aswell, an SR20 REDTOP would be more like 7 or 8 grand CND or more and a blacktop would add onto that.tiens and silvia front end could both be had for cheaper then that, but i guess locally you could pay that. and thats why i said where it was painted is important, a paintjob goes for $300 to $7000 for a paintjob, and it can be alot more if you want fancy paint.

in Canada 240's are geting expensive, $5000 is kinda high for a 89, but i've seen alot worse, people are geting 6-7 grand for good conditon standard s13's with around 100 000 miles on them.

i got a my 89 sx for 200 bucks with no engine( u dont get that cuz u did a sr20 swap) plus even if it brand new in the box parts its still like used cuz u owned them. i could buy it from a shop for the same price why would i want to get them used..
cost of car + cost of parts+ labor= 20k???it doesnt work that way.
if its all premo intall work and nice engine from somone we all know and trust then maybe 15-17k

na man..i'm asking 12,500 for it. it doesn't have the s15 conversion. i was thinking about the 97-98, but i decided not to. i have a 95 with just about everything done but the conversion. yes its clean, and i'm about to paint it a color called cinnamon gold (very hard to decribe) think of cinnamon and gold mixed..lol. Duh. hehe.
