I have the rear seats out now, but there is not an engine in the car right now either. I plan on putting a roll bar in it, so the rear seats will not fit anymore.

As far as without a roll bar, i would say it is personal preference. It is mostly metal floorboard with sound deadening material back there, so the choices are as it is, stripping sound deadening and painting it, or covering it with some sort of material.

Personally, I would leave the rear seats in it even if you do not want to carry anyone back there, or else put in a roll bar.

I have thought about removing my rear seats as they are useless...

Then I got to thinking...what the hell am I gonna put there instead??? I did think of a roll cage or bottles of NOS on teh floor (j/k)

However...I think I'll be keeping them because it will look kinda awkward without them. When I replace my front seats...i'll replace the back seat also...just for aesthetic purposes.

1) I removed them.2) Then decided the bottom needed a good black spray3) Then tried to have a boot on as well - but it looked like **** so I sold it.4) Now I'm prepping it for a half cage.

Becuase it's 1am and i'm going insane from studying this sounds like a reasonable idea for a project:Remove the rear seat and engineer a retractable hard top to fold into its place just like on the new saab convertible.

That will cost a $hitload of money...for most of us anyways. You planning on doing that?

a few years back I saw a cover for the 240 vert. I've had my vert for about 8 years and was researching back then. I ran across a nice (but somewhat heavy) fiberglass cover for the 240. I have been trying to find one since and have had no luck.... it looked like a Porsche cover (if anyone can picture that). I still find that small kids fit back there, except the ones I have are messy ones. Thankfully the seat comes out and I get to clean 2 year old gummy bears from under it....lol

Was it something like this? It's split in half, so they can fit in the trunk. Not a big fan, but I like the idea of making it 2 pieces.

Another picture...I think AZHitman needs this since he never closes his top. It would be a nice touch.

Yes! it was just like that 94_240sx. I thought it looked pretty nice. The nice part was that when in use, it made the car appear to be a nice two seater and still had a back seat when needed.

Are you talking about Nissan factory OEM boot cover that you use when the top is down?? Or after market fiberglass cover that above Mustang has? Which one are you referring to?

If you want Nissan OEM boot cover, eBay or Nico vert forum might be your best bet.

I didn't know someone made speedster(?) cover for 240 vert. Actually, I saw Mustang one piece cover in person and it was pretty neat. There are 2 straps attached to the bottom of the cover and you just snap those into rear seat belt clips and tighten them. It was pretty secure like that. I'd like to get color matched 2 piece cover for my vert. I don't think one piece will fit in the trunk. I like the portability and convenience of 2 piece cover.
