Hey Man,

Here's your new turbocharger compared to a stock T25. It is the same spec turbocharger I used to wax multiple cars including a WRX and most infamous an S2000. Hopefully it will be to you by the weekend if not by Monday. Thanks again for your patience and I hope you enjoy this turbo. I'll be available tomorrow evening if you want to call and chat about it.

I know Im not kapower, but is that a hybrid t25? The compressor wheel looks bigger on the one on the left.

It does have bigger wheels and a brand new CHRA. This turbo represents a turbo I used to use back in the day that is just what the doctor ordered for a lagging CA. Screw using a SR's turbo with that huge back housing. This puppy is a sweet-@ss turbo that I'm 100% sure he'll enjoy on the street and strip. Wind it up to 18psi and let it work it's magic.

Better than a t28bb? I have heard of shops(turbonetics) rebuilding t25's with different wheels and housings to make more power. Forced Performance also does this, especially t28's.

I'm a firm believer that the CA really needs a .48 hotside, regardless of the turbo if you want nice streetability.

I have had CA T25's, SR T25's, and T28's on my car, and the lack of top end breathing is the only thing holding back the stock CA turbo. I've considered some sort of hybrid mulitple times but never persued it.

Sounds similar to a big28. Curious if its a miami shop & cost.FP big28 perhaps the most popular among the t25 upgrades. Its a pretty good $600 turbo upgrade considering its performance.... 11sec capable in full wt. sr20 s13 hatch, 122mph trap.sr t25 core will give you the bigger 080 compressor housing, as well as the 0.64 exhaust which bottles up less heat in your motor up top.Interesting how FP encourages their 17+psi wastegate so they must have confidence in durability @20psi+, which would kill most 28s. Maybe they add their "thrust bearing mod" to the new CHRA for this. Like any other journal brg turbo, its rebuildable too.DSM dyno'd 348whp & 376 ft-lbs tq @22psi. Exceptional torque.

The same turbo that I've sent to kapower06 is the same style turbo I used back in April 2002 to give a bunch of cars hell off the line, at the track and on the highway. With this turbo, my car saw sustained speeds of over 160mph on the highway, even holding off a 2jz powered turbocharged IS300 as well as an AudiTT and an S2000 in a balls-out run for over a mile or so. So for it's size, it is the perfect turbo for the CA in terms of street and strip.

And yes, this is a Miami shop and no FP. I had been using this set-up since 2001. It is kinda-sorta a T28 or can be called a T2/T3 or Super T25 or whatever the hell you want to call it, but it works and to get one costs around $450 shipped.

This is something I'm doing for guys might be interested in their stock spoolability, but want to enjoy some more efficiency plus a new CHRA. If you're interested, you can go through me as this is something that's not available. These are done on an individual basis and not bulk.

Bacardi.... Im looking to get around 230-240whp with stock injectors and a safc or chip to run my maxima maf (n60). then Im shooting for around 280-300whp with a nice front mount and some 550cc injectors also with a chip and/or safc to control it. Dee told me that it can turn low 300 hp and still have close to factory like spool with a much more healthy top end pull. shooting for some low 13 second 1/4 mile passes with close to 240-250whp and a lsd with some good street tires. then im going to shoot for high 11s, low 12s with 280-300 whp and some drag radials.... before anyone gets their panties in a bunch about high 11s with around 280-300whp i've rode in and watched the local s13 that ran an 11.9 with like 290-300whp.

this turbo seems like a good hookup from boost_boy.

if its a 60trim t3 compressor wheel it should be good for 300+.

probably a great performer for a 4ag also.

kapower, sounds like a plan. Persistence usually pays off with extrordinary ETs for any given level of power. What mods did the 11.9sec s13 have ? Stripped ?

i really think that you guys can touch 11's with 300hp. i was looking thru your times and you are close. well kinda. alot of the posts in there have alot of guys that can't get off the line without roasting the tires thru 1st gear. if you can get that 60' down then your good. which shouldn't be that hard in a RWD car to get a 1.8 hell if i can do it in my front wheel drive daily driver then it should be a cakewalk in a S13..... should.... practice make perfect. and also just so you guys know i have a little cool device that i sell called the launch boost controller... you can determine how much boost you want off the line until you get traction so lets say that you normally boost 15psi and that is why you spin your tires all the way down the track. well this device you can tune it down to 7psi at launch so you can get some traction and when you get traction you let go of the momentary switch and you are back at full boost!!!! works with all turbo cars.... i have only used it for a season and its great!!! let me know if yall are interested in something like this....

Yeah, I dunno about that. Local guy with an SR and GT2871R making 377whp with SLICKS (1.6 60') ran an 11.5 @ 119. Unless your friends car was gutted to the max.

not running 11's with only 300whp unless youre car is strictly set up for drag, c-rad, that time is really good for 370whp. Congrats to whoever.
