how hard is to do. and what needs to be done?what bolts screws clips caps covers need to be removed and or replaced 2007 4dr Xnot saying that im doing it but if i were i would need an answer by the end of the week so when the rims come in and the drop can be done. asap

Its really not that difficult to do.

Just depends on how much you want to lower your car. If you lower it more than 1" you probably would want to get a camber kit or toe kit to keep alignment in check as you will be creating additional negative camber.

You can replace just the springs and get a lower ride, which is probably the most cost effetive route to go.

A nice set of Eibach Pro's is the most common. lowers 1-1.5". Will help clear the wheel gap and look nice.

Are you going to be doing the work yourself? Shouldn't be too hard. There are some DIY's you can follow....

As soon as I have a spare penny I'm gonna get the IMPUL ones out of japan, they don't kill you with 1.5-2" drop(so you don't bottom out) but gives you a nice adv over stock springs.

ok ok sorry guys i was trying to be secretive and the question came out wrong now that i think about it. i already have the eibach pro kit. i want to install it this week. just was looking for a diagram or a tutorial how to have it done. thanks

you are going to need to borrow/use some spring compressors.

thanks for that info. any idea how long it would take. because i want to do it myself with help from friends but they wouldnt want to help me if its a all day process.

I did it by myself and it took about 6 hours....

But thats because I had a few nuts that were welded on with rust. Took time to loosen. I'm guess 3-4 hours should be the max for just springs.

If you lived around here I'd help you throught it and we'd get done in about 2 hours is my guess.

aaaaaaaaahh.. thanks bud. but too bad im up in CT. im going to have to ask my friend works at ford see if he would be willing to do it up, may take him less time.
