(thinks about fiance's Tiffany diamond ring) I could have bought an N1 block!

I love the conversion rate, I am going to start paying my people in Australian money!

But think! Doesn't it remind you of the scene from Family Guy where they are parodying a DeBeers commercial "Diamonds... she will pretty much have to.." or the real DeBeers commercial "How else would you spend 3 months salary?"

But seriously, Don't you think she is worth it?? I know that I spent around the same amount on my chassis as I did on my wifes engagement ring + wedding band. Man, that could have been a new GT series turbo... oh well. She is co-financing my RB endeavor, and drives a Vert, Plus I love her so, I can't complain much Man, I gotta get to sleep. Big interview in 9 hours! Later TMS! Oh, by the way, do you run a shop in Japon?

Hahaha yeah I forgot the calculater. Sorry but still look at the prices! If I had 11K I'd build like a 700+HP RB26, no lie! Why waste the money...

I thought this was just posted as a joke for all the newbs that have been asking this lately lol..

Nobody should actually consider it! Seems like you could put $5000 into an rb26 and make it stronger and more modified.. then you're into it, what, $10,000? As opposed to $15,000 for just a bare shortblock? lol...

im thinking there is a reason that the n1 motorset is that much.

im willing to bet that the n1 is pretty much better than what most of us could build for that kind of money. but thats just me thinking. thinking that the oem can probably make their hero machine motor better than regular people.

If the block itself is different, as in a different casting. Then there is no way to "build up" a regular RB26 to match the N1. I do not know the actual differences in the blocks to know if this is true or not though.

No it was actually asked by a person/persons... a little bit ago. I just wanted to clairify the extreme pricing on a N1 motor, Thats all. So now I hope that individual reads this and takes our advise! Normal ol' RB26 and build from there, you'll get more out of it with that extra 7-8K you'll save!
