I want to get some new wheels for my 2k maxima. I found a set of 18x8 wheels I want, and they are offered in +25, 33, 45, and 48 offset. How do I know which will fit or look best? I hear that the bigger the number the bigger the lip will be but I also want my wheels to fit/function/fit! lol thanks for the help

Use this to compare fitment to your stock wheels.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

As for offset, it's a measurement in mm of the mounting face (the part sits against the hub when mounted) versus the centerline of the wheel. Negative offset moves the wheel centerline OUT away from the car versus that face. Positive moves it IN toward the car. Lower offset wheels will stick out more and, depending on the design, can have more lip. Higher offset will tuck the tire into the wheel well more.

BUT since offset is measured from the wheel's centerline, the offset measurement alone means nothing. You need the wheel width measurement as well.

If you keep in mind that 25.4 mm is 1 inch, you can get a pretty good picture in your head of how a given wheel will look.
