Did anyone notice his name is SOMETIMES spelled Nico, and then other times, Niko.

Just curious.

I will OWN this game though.

Btw, am I just being stupid, or are they calling New York Liberty City for this one? Because how are they gonna explain the LC from 3 and LCS and SA?
Liberty City has always been "New York" ever since the very first game.

And yeah, I'm sure there'll be a (superior) PC port about a year later.Won't stop me from getting the console version, too, though.

Does anybody know any good GTA4 fansites? Anything with accurate up-to-date info and active forums would be good. The next two months are going to be hard.

Oh, I definitely disagree.

LCS was excellent.VCS was terrible. They took everything established as good and dependable in GTA and turned it on it's head. The game COMPLETELY revamped the handling system and ruined how ALL the cars drive. The story was terrible and uninteresting. ALL the characters sucked. The missions were frustrating and often pointless. The AI was absolutely abysmal and at times completely broken...I could go on.

There's not going to be a portable GTA4. Not unless the PSP2 comes out soon.

oh without a doubt, however maybe we will get to se San Anderas stories or something. Or what I would really like to see, a whole new city exclusive to the PSP.

I'm just a stickler for detail I suppose. Or at least continuity. While Liberty City was always considered to be the New York of the GTA universe, we've had 3 games to establish the look and layout of Liberty City. I'm wondering how they explain in this game that Liberty City is nothing like the previous iterations.

I doubt they'll bother. They didn't bother explaining why Liberty City and Vice City in those games were nothing like the original versions in the first game. Nor did they bother to explain how San Andreas went from becoming a small California city in the original game to an entire small state in San Andreas.

Not the first time it's happened.

I imagine their thinking is the same as mine: no reason to bother with the details of "why" as long as it's an improvement.

Hell, it doesn't even have to be the "same" Liberty City.

I'll love it no matter what, but I get bugged really easily.

I only played part of the first GTA, and never found a copy of GTA 2, but the bit of GTA I did play was set in London, I thought

That was GTA: London. It was basically the original GTA except set in London.

Yeah, there were two expansions for the original GTA, both set in London.

You can get the first GTA, London 1969 (the less rare London expansion) and GTA 2 in a box set for about $10. Worth picking up if you're curious. GTA 2's radio programs are awesome and some of the best in the series.

The copy of GTA I have is for my computer. I suck so hard at it, though, that I gave up after about 10 minutes of playing. I'm good at the 3-D GTAs, but the top down camera is hard for me to use.

Yeah, the box set is PC versions, which is what the games originally released on (although all three of those games were available for PSX as well).

The top down definitely takes some getting used to. Seems like a lot of people have trouble getting used to steering where the camera doesn't rotate with the car.

I have up on driving and got out on foot. But by that point, I had ran over some pedestrians and gotten a 2 star wanted level. Shaking the cops in the original is hard

I got mine for a penny new I already had the original GTA, but I'm glad I got another copy since mine is pretty scratched up. I got the original GTA a couple months after it came out so it doesnt look too good now.

Holy crap I'm stupid.

Bart, you don't need to pay for either of them.

Both GTA 1 and 2 can be downloaded for free from Rockstar's website. I can't believe I forgot that.
