Foot Lighting Active While Driving / Idling

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Do you know if there is a way to enable the floor lighting while the vehicle is running?

I understand that the floor lighting is on during the "welcome" session.

I understand that this feature is not sought after by every driver, but I've driven cars that have this feature and I would like to use it if possible.

2012 Journey Premium / Deluxe Touring

Does not have the technology package

Thanks

If you want to light up the foot wells all the time while you are driving, you would re-wire them by moving one of the two wires from the "door open" to hot-in-run 12v. Leave the ground. Easy to do, but instead of modifying those, you could just install some LED footwell lights. You can even change the color.

Thanks !!

I like the sound of both of those ideas.

I like the versatility of the aftermarket option although not a fan of mounting new controls. I know there's a few good places to mount the controls on the lower left under the steering wheel by the e-bake/hood release area.

Good call T.
