Foil leaks

Has anyone had the back airfoil on a '91 240sx hatchback leak rain water? After a rain, like yesterday's, we have to dip the water out of the spare tire wheelwell.If so, what was the fix?

If it has the spoiler, lift it up slightly, you will see most likely that there are rust holes under the spoiler, so you will need a new one from a junkyard.

If there is no spoiler, then loosen up the bracket that holds the whole hatch and it may shift alittle bit. Or you need a new rubber seal that goes around it.

Thanks Ride for the input. I was just wondering if this was a problem on all 240's with a foil and if that was the only place that it leaks?

you should have a rubber plug in the bottom of your spare tire well you can pull out to let the water drain out. its about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

I have this problem. I might just calk all round the foil with transparent calking.
