Good question - I'm curious as well.

I assume they were an option, and were mounted where the little grilles are (low in the bumper)?

they have those frosted clear/white DRL (Canadien daytime running lights) in those mini grill locations on

LINK

They're nice and they match the turn signals, and although there's no price listed I think I recall it being pretty expensive. They're not foglights, really, and I'm interested in other custom foglight mods that are a little brighter.

Plus I like the stock grilles....it lets my 240 breathe better.

It was an option at the time I purchased the car brand new.

I do NOT recommend this setup. For some reason I have yet to discover, it doesn't do a good job at all illuminating the road. Perhaps it's because it is under the bumper or because the lamps aren't strong enough.

Just wanted you to see what the dealership install looked like in late 1991.

Clatch: Honestly, I can't remember right now. I'll have to check that out and get back to you. I have a feeling you're right.

kamikazestorm420: I am going to give brighter/stronger bulbs a try. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

I actually really like the setup under the bumper because it is subtle and close to the road surface.

To answer the question of this thread: I have not really seen it installed any other way on an S13 to the best of my memory.

I don't have any pictures right now, but i'll get some tommorow. I bought some foglights from walmart for $25, these came with everything, all the wire switch everything. I mounted them behind the grills, and let me tell you they are awesome. During the day you can't even tell i have foglights because they're hidden behind the grill. And at night they do an awesome job, they are very bright for foglights, and very clear, they look really good combined with my JDM chuki lights. I'll take some pics tommorrow but they look really good.

Hey man, check out my cardomain site in my sig. I think it's page 2 or 3 that I have pictures of my lights on. I have matrix lights, mounted behind the little grills. They work great and at night you can drive with just them on if you're on a secluded road.

for 25 bux it was a good deal, i'm happy with them. They look really good when they're on at dusk with my parking lights and the sleepy eyes.

p.s. how can i load bigger pics? Can i do it from my comp or to the pics have to be on the internet first?

did you have to splice any wires when you hooked up the foglights?
