ok now my question is

are the se-r foglights the same size and all as the base model ones?

because the autopia ones only work for the 07+ se-r

If you want some advice, go with these instead as they come with everything to mount the lights properly onto the bumper. These look just like the OEM fogs. They might not have the fancy halos but they will definitely look better on your car.

I went ahead and bought the OEM looking ones. I was thinking of installing them myself. Is it hard to install foglights if you dont really know what youre doing? these foglights do not come with instructions, so i have nothing to go off. If someone who is good with foglights, can you post some step by step details on how to install them? If not i guess i can take it to nissan but i would rather save the money and do it myself.

Hey Bakerboard, I sent an email to sabersport and the kit comes with light assemblies, wiring harness, bumper brackets and switch. To hook it up properly and safely, you will need to buy 1 automotive relay (4 pin) and one inline fuse holder with 30A Fuse and 12-14 gauge wire on each side of the fuse holder. Make sure you have about 1-2' of wire on each end of the fuse holder. You should also pick up a pack of spade connectors and a couple of ring connectors for battery and grounding and if you don't have a wire cutter/crimper see if you can either borrow or buy one. I will post up some pics so you'll know exactly what I'm talking about in case you're not familiar with it. The relay, fuse/holder and terminals should be around $15 total. Let me know when you get the kit and post up pics of all the pieces.

thanks

If you're going to hook it up to the factory wiring, then you'll just need to replace your light switch stalk with one that has the fog light option on it. With the factory wiring your low beams must be on for the fogs to work. If you want to be able to turn on/off your fogs anytime you want and work independently of any other lights, then you have to run wires and switch that came with the kit plus add the relay and fuse we discussed earlier. Let me know which way you want to go before buying anything.

PS: I can't maximize the picture either!!

I wont mind if both low beams and foglights have to be on but i also dont want to pay $150 for nissan to replace the stalk and hook up the foglights! SO if i have to ill go buy those this for it to work independently

The wiring harness is all bundled up so I can't see it properly but if you have a relay and fuse already attached to the wires then you don't need to buy anything. It looks like the fuse is attached on the red wire and the relay might be down about a foot from the red wire also?? Let me know if that's it. If that is the case, the diagram that they gave you seems pretty clear, the only difficult part it trying to run the wire from the engine bay to the inside dash. If you take out the air filter box, you should see some wires going to a grommet on the firewall, you can use a wire hangar and try to push it thru' there but be careful not to cut into any existing wires, the other side will come out near the brake pedal and from there you can run your switch. Also remove the ground terminal from the battery before doing any electrical work. See if you can figure it out from the pictures, and if you need any additional help let me know. I will post up some pictures of how I did mine for you tonite.

That's great, you don't have to buy anything else. Just follow the diagram and you're all set. Here are some images

This is where wire comes out close to the brake pedalI put in an "Add a circuit" to the top right slot in the fusebox and ran power wire there so in case I left the switch on, it would turn off with the ignitionThis is where I put the relay and wires from the fogs, hidden under that support beam with the twist tieHere are my switches, there are illuminated, I have two as there is another LED bulb in the fog light like a small park lightHere is where you run the wire thru the firewallPICS of the Fogs:LEDDaytime NighttimeHere are some other images , one of VG Shark Fin and a reverse camera/monitor that I installed

i cant get that swicth wire through the wire firewall. If i can take the air filitr box off it would be easier to get to. how do i take off the air filter box?

edit: also my car is pre-wired for fog lights. could i use that wire and just run my swicth to the inside of my car? here is the picture of the wire for the foglights....

( its the yellow looking male connector )

Anyone know how to take the air filter box off?

Also is it hard to change the light swicth stalk if I go with the factory wiring? Or should I ask Nissan to do it?

What you're seeing under the driver's headlight is the resonator box, I believe, not the air filter. It should have some sort of connection to the part you can see inside the engine bay. Pop off the connection up top and then pull it out through the bottom.
