I have a 2004 G35 Sedan - headlights are very foggy - should I clean them or should I get new ones. If I clean them - how do I do it or where can I get it done and does it work? Can I buy just the covers or is it all one assembly and where can I buy them to replace?

basically.... long story short.... detail them

they make a special polish for this sort of stuff... you simply buff the cloudiness out

They also sell some kits at auto stores.

regular car polish will work too. used it on the 350z and it worked wonders.

I hear 3M makes a killer kit, but i personally use 3 steps
buff with rubbing compound
buff with polishing compound
buff with wax

the 3M kit uses I think a 4 step process involving wet sanding the plastic.

you car might not be to the point where it needs that yet, there's a few nice plastic polish compounds you can find at most auto stores.

I really wish they'd come up with a lens that didn't have this issue :(

I find it odd that on some vehicles, like our 95 Caravan, the turn signals are glass lens, but the headlights are plastic... Yeah, that makes sense...
