So I got my baby (1990 n/a 300zx coupe) about a week ago and the first 2 things on the list to fix were the driver's side t top and the fogged up driver's side headlight. So I fixed the t top (I think.... still slightly worried about it though) and took the headlight out over the weekend. Apparently one of the goobs that owned it before me tried to reseal the light at some point rather sloppily. So I took the light apart (which was a pain in the arse), cleaned up the better part of the goop that goober put on it, and resealed it with a marine adhesive sealant... should have worked, right? NOPE. I noticed today that there is some condensation on the glass again. Needless to say I am VERY frusterated at the thought of taking the headlight back out again. Anyone got a proven method on fixing this problem? Would it be cheaper/easier just to find a new headlight in a junker somewhere? Anyone know where to get or how much a new one costs?

My driver's side headlamp used to fog as well if I took it to a car wash and sprayed it directly on. Buy some liquid urethane like they use on windshields, clean the housing and glass really well, and then run a nice bead all the way around and smooth it out so it makes a new seal all the way around. This stuff lasts for many years. I haven't had any further problems since doing mine.
