FOG LIGHTS

Bought this 300zx a while ago....never noticed that i didnt check to see if the fog lights worked or not till now.

they dont...

the little amber light thats on the button in the car does not come on when pressed.
i checked the 15amp fuse under the hood and its good.
i swapped the relay with a known good working one.
i checked the condition of the wiring going to the bulb connectors, they are unmolested.
the bulbs are good.

still nothing.
what now?

i tried looking in the FSM for a diagram but oddly on page 60 in the Electric section, it shows this button to be a "rear" fog switch.. now im confused...

European spec 300s have them on the rear bumper.

Did you try confirming that power is at the connector with either a test light or multimeter?

page 34 is the fog lamp section for the US model. The cgi-bin FSM is for a euro-spec model. For the engine and everything it should work, but there are a few differences. Such as a differential oil cooler and rear fog lamps.
