If you buy new bulbs for your car, I would suggest PIAA brand bulbs. I know my car products pretty well, and I wouldn't waste my time with the cheap crap. You can probably get a set that will suit your needs for about $80 on ebay. Typically, you could get similar blue H4's for about $20........I've owned both, and the PIAAs are worth the price increase.

Anyone ever considered putting bright yellow bulbs in to replace the fog lights. I think it might have a really cool effect of contrasting the HID. I plan on doing it to my G35c when it gets here. If any of you decide to steal my idea let me know how it works. Also, I'm not a fan of cheap replacement bulbs....I'm a big fan of PIAA, but I don't theink they make a yellow H4 <---what i heard the fog bulb was. Does anyone, now of another good brand that actually makes this type of bulb.....Hella or something?? Let me know...

High beams / Fog lamps are h4.

try and have handy: flat head & Phillips screwdrivers, 10mm socket wrench, clean rag.

Remove the front wheel, To access the headlamps, you need to remove the plastic liner. There are push in tabs that lock the fender in place as well as bolts underneath the car to keep it from moving.

There are 3 tabs and 1 screw near the outer sidemarker, 2 behind the wheel, and 4/5 bolts underneath. There are another 2 push in tabs behind the wheel, but you wont be able to see them until you unscrew everything else first. To remove the tabs you just stick a flathead screwdriver into the slit and pop it up. After the fender is off you will see the back of the light assembly. There are 2 dust caps. The top one is for the HID Lowbeam, and the bottom one is for the H4 fog/highbeam. Unscrew the bottom cap and you will find the h4 bulb locked by a mechanism and 2 wires connected to it. Unconnect the wires by wiggling and pulling back, set them aside. Unlock the mechanism and the bulb should come out freely. Put in the new H4 light the same way the old one was in, re-lock the mechanism.Re-install everything. Should take about 15 min per side. Sounds complicated, but is really pretty simple. Once you get into it, everything necessary is obvious.

I would just put a brand new HID Kit in the fog lights. It does not have to be different color. You can get 4300k, 5000k, or at least try to match the stock Headlight HID. PIAA bulbs are fined. But HID is more reliable and consume less watts of which its good for your car electrical system.

The type of bulb you need depends on the year of your ride. I think 06 and up is H-1 and 05 and older is H-4. Dont quote me on that. I just installed 4300k fog lamps made by piaa on my 2006 coupe. I cant remember the site I bought them from. But going to a more yellow color or lower kelvin spectrum bulb, will greatly increase your viewable distance in front of the car. I had piaa 6000k ?????? installed prior and they did have a more of a hyper white look to them but the lighting was noticibly more pronounced when I went with the 4300k yellow plasma ion bulbs made by piaa. Just curious. What was the light rating on the Polarg bulbs?
