Welcome to the Versa family! How did you find us?

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what cost you're asking for regarding the fog lights...Replacement lamp cost, cost to retrofit OEM fog lights to a car without them, cost of aftermarket fog lights?

How high are the RPMs when shifting? Do you drive with a "lead foot" or are you more economical with your throttle-application? Heavy throttle usage will cause the engine to shift at higher RPMs than more "economical" driving would.

I think the OP is referring to the revs not dropping when shifting the manual.

It's a function of the drive-by-wire electronic throttle. My buddy's '03 Altima does the same thing.

I think it's emission related.

i was wondering the same thing cause the versa that i ordered does not come with fog lights. I think he/she wants to know if you can install fog lights on the versa that does not come with them and the cost of doing that. I notice that the versa;s without fog lights have an outline of where the aftermarket fog lights would fit and it looks pretty easy to install. kinda looks like a plastic black headlight lamp.

Anybody know when they are going to be available? The V needs foglights and has the perfect spot for them.

Hopefully won't have to shell out the $$ for the sport kit just to get the lights...

well when u look at the versa's front just under the headlights there is an outline of the location where a fog light would fit perfectly, so im guessing nissan will somehow allow owners to get them installed when it becomes available.

I've been keeping my eyes on a certain Nissan dealership that sells accessories over the internet. I ordered my XM kit from them (will arrive next Tuesday), but they still show the foglight kit as "available soon".

The V needs those fog or running lights. I hope they come out soon. Maybe one of you pioneers will do a professional backyard mechanic job and share it on the forum.

I wonder if Australia dealers will ship accessories to the US?

Check out the Tiida fog lights here: http://www.nissan.com.au/tiida/accessories.asp...

Not OEM, but OEM style. If it were oem, there would be a replacement steering wheel controll. It looks like this auction will use a push button switch.

I started a thread about Fog Lights a while back.

Take a look at the ones I bought. I got them from Wal-Mart for about $25.I haven't installed them yet, since I was (am) waiting for some wiring advice from the electrical geniuses I know must be around here somewhere!

I too want foglights, I figure they can be wired to the little empty panel spot next to the side view mirror controls instead of the the steering wheel.

Agreed. In fact, I suspect that this was the original intend of this panel.I looked at the kit I bought, and the gray rocker switch (see photo in referenced post above) can be removed from its housing and should fit nicely in the provided space.

However, I still need someone to help me out with the factory wiring.I just want someone with more electrical knowledge than me to take a multimeter to their under-dash area and tell me if they see how the factory fog lights were intended to connect, so I can (hopefully) use the switch from the kit and have an *almost* factory setup. Pleeez?!

NOTE: The under-hood mounting area and wiring is obvious and the fuse in the under-hood block is already installed. It looks like this thing is 99% prewired. We just need to figure out what wire energizes the circuit, and we're in business. I do intend to install an in-line relay to take the load off the switch, if there isn't already one in the loop somewhere.
