Fog Lights please help

Hi, i want to change my combination switch near the steering wheel to the fog light feature as mine does not have fog lights but is pre wired for it, so if i want to turn the fog lights on i have to have the switch on the combination switch, at least i think so,

can you tell me if the 2007 altima 4dr switch will fit on 2008 altima coupe or does it change the specs.

also is there any way i can get fog lights that just plug in to the pre wired plugs?

I tried ebay there are some oem fog lights but not sure if they just plug in and work, plus they are $250 thank you

yes the fog light switch is the same and post the link to the ebay fog lights that you are refering to...

this is the link on ebay that i found the switch on, it looks the same as mine but with the fog light option. if I end up getting this one is it possible just to change it and plug in the lights into the pre wired plug and should work? i checked and i have a fuse for the fog lights and a fuse inside.

These are the fog lights from ebay not sure what the back looks like, hopefully its the same plug in connection, this one doesn't come with the harness but since the 2007 altima combination switch works i will stick to that, the first ones im interested in but what do you think of the second ones, they are the same but with the harness connection. so it should be just plug in the fog lights, change the switch and just turn them on correct? hopefully

i had emailed the company and they are h11 just like the factory fogs.... idk anyone who has them,

since you are prewired for fogs, the harness that they supply would be useless..... it is useless anyway in my opinion.

So do you think its fine if i just plug the fog lights inn and plug the switch inn, would it work with out any problems.

would the fog lights work if i didnt get the switch, basically if i ran the lights on my original switch, do you think it would work. I was think why would nissan manufacturer make a whole new switch? but who knows with my luck i have to get that swicth, i thought it was only for the little picture

idk are you planning on running HIDs in them ?

well im planning to put hids on my headlights..but not on the fog lights. if i put hids on the fog lights does that mean i dont have to get the switch?

if you were to do hids in the heads and fogs you could get two harnesses and then they would turn on when your lights did...... and no switch would be needed !!! blacknwhite did this.

that sounds a lot easier,, would i just connect the fog lights to the ballis for the hid..and run the fogs of my regular head lights..would you know where i can get the instruction how i could install it..poss with picture if not then the step by step instruction ....?

Yep. Simple.

The lows are activated by the driver's side harness. The fogs are activated by the passenger side harness.

The only problem is finding a harness that is long enough to connect to the passenger side for the fogs. All the ones on ebay connect through the driver's side so my gf's dad (an electrican) simply extended it for me.

nice..im waiting for mine to come in..did you pay a lot for it. ive been trying to search for instructions that have pictures on how to install the switch and how to take the top plastic plate off..do you have any idea how to do it, i know there are two screws behind the steering and another one somewhere underneath, but does it just snap of easily. if u can help with that it would be great. i have a general outline but i want to be %100 sure so i dont break any clips or snaps if there are any. i tried searching all forums no luck.

I paid 115 for it with shipping. I know there is one posting that shows all the step by step to remove the cover but its only the two screws that hold the cover on. If I find the post I will let you know but if you happen to find it let me know cuz I have been looking for it. I anxious to get it started.

sounds good once i find it i will post it...wow thats cheap i got mine for 140 plus tax..where did u find it? do u have a good website for the fogs i havent found anything under 215 and then there is shipping.
