So i've been flipping back and forth on DDMtuning.com and can't decide whether or not go get the HID 6000k conversion kit for $30 to match my 6000K lowbeams OR spend way less and get the LED bulbs. I believe the fogs use a H11 correct me if I am wrong. I know leds are more for color matching and wouldn't adequately light up the road.

I wanna hear what you guys have done/recommend...
Do HID fogs glare too much in the OEM housing? melting issues? Issues with running HID high, low, and fogs?
also if i went the LED route, any ideas whether the white would be close to matching the 6000k?

if possible feel free to include pics of your fog/light setups!

It really depends on what you want the fogs for. Aesthetics or function?

A) I don't want the HIDs if they will be annoying and blind the s*** out everyone being that the oem housing is not intended for them and will scatter the light. thats the only con I can think of.
B) I wouldn't mind the leds only if they matched the 6000k white/blue color and they are obviously cheaper with easier install.
but im slowly starting to lean towards the side of "I dont care if they blind you as long as im happy" haha

I had LEDs and they were way too dim. They were only 18SMD though. Knew they would be dim going into it... but not that dim.

I then came to the same conclusion as you and went DDM conversion regardless of the housing. My bulbs are all 5000k

They are bright and scatter light upwards, but they don't seem to be blinding as they are low and point down... but yes they do scatter light and are extremely bright (much more so in person compared to pic above).... However, since I switched my headlight bulbs one of my headlights has been misfiring... so idk what that's about...

yea those leds are way too dim! looks good with the HIDs though man I like it. thank you for the response and pictures im surely going to go that route now.
What do you mean you switched your headlight bulbs? You mean you switched them to HIDs also and one started messing up?

I have the stock HID headlights, which are 4300k, so I just switched the bulbs (with DDM replacement bulbs) so I could match my fogs and have them both at 5000k. Since I switched bulbs one of my headlights occasionally won't turn on. I suppose I could put the stock bulbs back in to see if it stops misfiring...but I've been too busy/lazy to go back in there and switch them.
