Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2018 Rogue Sport SV that did not come with any fog lights. Would any modifications be required to install fog lights, i.e replacing the turn signal lever as my current lever does not have an option for fog lights?

If you're not overly familiar with installing electronics, I'd definitely recommend not taking apart the steering wheel. It'd be a lot simpler and safer to simply run a toggle switch to one of the blank switch spots that there usually is (I'm not familiar with the 2018 interior, I have a 2008). Not sure where the best place to run power from would be but there's definitely lots of information on fog light installation if you search.

Since the Rogue Sport is identical to my 2016 Rogue, you are better off using a toggle switch like Karona said, because replacing the turn signal stock with the one that has fogs is a PITA, if you are not that mechanically inclined. But one of the admins or mods would be delighted to give you the FSM for the specific area you want to work on.

And yes, modifications to the front bumper must be made and is required in order for the Fog Lights to be in place and to be secured.

Modifications are really required? I assumed the fog light covers just popped off :frown: Kind of like this.

The Rogue Sport is NOT the same as a 2016 Rogue.... The Rogue Sport is known in other world markets as the Qashqai.

For the OP, just grab the Nissan fog light kit they offer. It comes with everything needed to install the fog lights. To my knowledge all Nissans that have that kit available are prewired for the front fogs, all necessary mounting hardware is either already present or included in the kit, and it also comes with the new light stalk to operate the fog lights. It's not too difficult to install, you'll need to remove the plastic covers around the steering column with a few screws, remove the old stalk and install the new one. The fog light kit also comes with a set of instructions on how to install it.

Would I be able to purchase this from the dealer?

I see kits like this on Ebay, but I worry about the quality of the wiring. I wouldn't want it to cause a shortage or something lol.

Yep, you can contact your dealer about the OEM kit for your vehicle. Normally if you go to your dealers website they'll also have a link to order parts through the Nissan parts portal and you could do it there as well.

EDIT: The fog light kit part number for the Rogue Sport appears to be 999F1V4001, my dealer lists it for $190.
