Fog lights don't shut off...qx56 imported into canada, DRL?

My fog lights on my 2006 qx56 don't shut off. I live in Canada, and we have to have daytime running lights by law...and this is a US car. So I'm assuming that the fog lights were converted into dayitme running lights? What's annoying is that the fog light switch is now useless...my damn fog lights are always on when the car is on.

Is there anyway i can get someone to turn the headlights into daytime running lights, and make the fog lights normal? Is cost expensive?

I'm sorry if all I do is ask questions around here...I'm not an expert on QX56's, or cars for that matter...but I say, besides the gas guzzling, this car is a BEAST.

Well if you keep your headlight switch on then they will always be on And yes, you would just need to get the wiring diagram and wire the fogs back into the fog switch. Although if this is illegal you may have a problem finding someone to do it...

I say keep it shinin!!!! GivEm a blindin.... I personally keep it on... Its better... let the beast be seen from a far..... If its illegal to not have running lights..... Then I wouldn't suggest you do it... You can always change the color.. or I guess hav it smoked ...or totally taken out...

Well, just consider them a part of the headlights...shuuu.. I wanna add more lights... especially if you take it campin or off roadn.... Yeahhh... U want to avoid them racoons man....

my QX was a US import also. I had them only use the fog lights as my daytime running lights. Seems to work great for me. If you dont want the fogs on then pull the fuse

I just want to be able to use the switch....turn off and on when i please...but oh well...
