i have a 2005 g35 sedan. the fog lights come on and stay on after i turn the engine off. i have tried restarting the car and have cycled the light switch. nothing seems to work besides disconnecting the battery. i have done multiple searches and come up with nothing. anyone else have or had the issue. fixes?

I would suggest pulling down the FSM and tracing the wiring back to see if there is a problem somewhere. In usual circumstances the fogs should never get power unless the headlights themselves are on. Maybe someone at some point hacked the system to allow the fogs to be on without the headlights? It happens.

Do the fog lights function more properly when the car is being driven? The hack idea could be right. I know that most American vehicles have their DRLs or fogs that come on when unlocking the car. I know the new-body Dodge Chargers have their headlights come on when the car is unlocked. The car's computer is programmed for a 45 second delay for the lights to turn off after the driver's door is closed (if the headlights are on auto), so maybe the fogs will turn off after 45 seconds? Could just be a glitch in the computer or something.
