ive spent the last couple of hours trying to install these new fog lights. the wiring become a bit of a problem for me

this is pretty much how its supposed to be in the instructions:foglights -> ground -> fusebox -> battery -> relay -> switch -> connect to lowbeam or high beam.

im pretty sure i did everything right up to the connect to low beam/high beam. i thought that part was just to let the fog lights turn on with the headlights and was optional, but the fog lights dont come on. where would i connect the wire to low beam??

any help is appreciated

Are you hooking up another switch to control your fog lights or are you trying to run it off your cars headlight switch?

theres a separate switch for the fog lights, and that switch has 2 wires, one going to the relay, then battery. and the other is supposed to be connected to lowbeam or highbeam

A typical install for fog lights is.Install rocker switch for foglights. Hook power in wire to your light switch so when you apply power to your lights, power also goes to the rocker switch. From your rocker switch to the lights. Since fog lights use minimal Amps there is no need to up the fuse for your lighting system.

We hook it up this way so that the driver controls when the fog lights are on. It is not controlled by high or low beams, it is controled by the headlights on/off switch.

For you fog light rocker switch, we recomend that you use one that has a light indication,(illuminated switch) so you will always know when it is on and if for some reason you need to turn them off the switch is easy to find in the dark.
