i guess i'm really stupid ...... aniway, I spent 2 and half hr trying to replace my fog light bulbs. Took a while cuz i didnt want to remove the wheel and stuff.. Aniway I finally found the opening at the bottom of the grill that I could slide my hand thru. Changed the bulb, first one ok, 2nd one was loose (maybe cuz the fiancee dropped the bulbs when she put the box on the washing machine and the thing just started spinning) Aniway, had to use a pair of pliers to adjust it so it'd be tight enough not to rattle in there. I could hear something rattling inside the bulb, not the glass but the plastic end. Plugged in the connector and the battery...........NOTHING. Swapped back to original bulbs (didnt drop those)......... STILL NOTHING...... headlights work (thank God). Wasted all that time and now the originals are screwed up too. I did disconnect the battery so I couldn't have shorted it. What could be the reason? Someone please shed some lights ... thanks

I don't quite fully understand what you're saying about the factory lights not working anymore and about something rattling in the bulb.

If your girl dropped the bulb, it's probably damaged. If not, maybe the connection is loose.

Also, did you check the prong connectors in the harness to make sure they're not misaligned?

it could be that the aftermarket ones are damaged, but I reinserted the original bulbs back and the foggies won't turn on. Completely off. I did check the connector, there's only 1 way to insert it and it clicked in
